CITIZENSHIP: The position or status of being a legally recognized subject or national of a state or commonwealth and accepting all the rights and responsibilities that accrue to such subjects. “To defend Her unity, and uphold Her honour and glory.” The Word: 1 Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty Dig Deeper: Matthew 22: 15-21; Matthew 6: 31-34; 1 Peter 2: 13-16 Think about it: * Am I taking responsibility for my nation as a good citizen? * Do my perspectives or behavior reflect my citizenship status in my country? * What does God expect of me as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven? Speak to the Lord * Ask Him to reveal the purpose for His placing you to be a part of your community to give you a genuine love for your country. * Ask Him to show you areas where you need to change your ways and receive grace to obey His leading.
