CLIMATE WAR: EMERGENCY ALERT - OCEAN TEMPS TOP THE CHART grist.org/news/this-chart-of-rising-ocean-temperatures-is-terrifying/ ocean temperatures are rising so steeply, scientists need a new scale. the huge mass of water covering the planet is a huge thermal flywheel. this huge heat sink normally keeps global temperatures moderate. in feb. 1991, i recognized the ocean was already in thermal overload, and thus climate change was inevitable in the 21st century. the recent surge in sea temperatures warns we are crossing a threshold, the seas can no longer restrain atmospheric temperatures, the system is passing overload, falling out of order, accelerating instability.
