CM meets Hangu delegation led by Shah Faisal MPA KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that 3000 kilometer highways including Hangu Main Road and Samana Road have been included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the current financial year. The project will cost Rs.2.75 billion. Talking to a delegation from district Hangu which called on him here in CM Secretariat on Tuesday, he said that maximum funds in next year development programme would be allocated for new schemes in Hangu. MPA Shah Faisal led the delegation while all the concerned high authorities were also present on the occasion. Similarly, he said that water ponds at the cost of Rs.40 million would be constructed for irrigation purposes in district Hangu while all drinking water schemes would be completed as recommended by the MPA of the area. The Chief Minister said that his govt took the reign of power in the province, all departments were in dilapidated conditions, corruption was rampant and maladministration was witnessed everywhere. He said that after assuming the power, they started new beginning in all departments, gave policy guidelines to departments and government officials and took basic steps including record legislation, to abolish maladministration and corruption. He said that for all departments one comprehensive and transparent system was evolved and fixed a right direction for them, which has started bearing better and positive results, saying the people in near future will feel further improved change. The Chief Minister also directed the authorities concerned for guaranteeing law and order in the area and protection to the lives and properties of the people as well as battling of the elements polluting the peaceful environment with iron hand. For the resolution of the security and development problems of Hangu and their immediate redressal, the chief minister announced the constitution of a powerful committee comprising of the local MPA and administration besides the elders of Shia and Sunni sects of the area. He said that Muharram-ul-Harram and other holy Islamic months are not for differences and riots amongst the Muslim, but these are days of unity, peace and harmony. It is a blessing that we had fully understood the tactics and conspiracies of the enemy, saying Shia-Sunni differences and disputes in Hangu and any part of the province have become the story of past now. He said that it was also due to flawed policies, corruption and turning of blind eye by the rulers of the past. Under the flag of PTI they have to go forward as an enlightened Muslim nation to foil the nefarious designs of the anti-state and nation elements. He directed the higher authorities of the government to prevent any chance of the Shia Sunni dispute and differences during Ashura-e-Muharram. For this purpose, he stressed the activation of the reconciliatory Jirga so the representatives of both sects and government representatives resolve the problems through mutual consensus.
