★CODE RED!★~NEW YORK**DIES THURSDAY!**9 DOGS KILLED HERE TODAY:( PLEASE HELP!!~♥BLU♥~Pretty girl Blu is on the list tonight now is the time to advocate for her and save her precious life! A volunteer writes- Blu is a dog I am very proud of...She came in as an owner surrender with her housemate Bebo and was sooo scared for so many days. Blu has made a 360 degrees turn around and is now one of my favorite dogs at the care center. She is a beautiful Labrador/Pitie mix probably with a "zest" of Dalmatian (as was Bebo). Her coloring is very unusual with red freckles spread throughout her coat. Her eyes are now alive and expressing trust and love. Blu walks beautifully on the leash and eliminates on the way. She always was fine with other dogs met in the street or upclose in the yard. She sits and stays on command and takes treats very gently from my hand. She does not ask for much. Just sitting by my side and being petted and talked to. Blu and Bebo were surrendered into our care as their owner deemed her sometimes unpredictable around strangers and children although very protective of her family. Blu most likely needs socialization and a calm environment where she can thrive. I have had only positive experiences with her and believe that she would make an awesome, loving and faithful forever best friend, given a chance. Blu is at the Manhattan Care Center.
