COLD HARD OBSERVATION: I watch a lot of documentaries, many of them related to environment and nature. They tend to be of two types, the disaster/armageddon-coming types and ones about people who are actually doing something about problems. The ones predicting failure, disaster and ruin almost always feature men. The ones where people are making a difference, saving animals, protecting an envirnoment trying to fix things almost always feature women as the key characters. This is not coincidence. I have maintained for years that our world will improve only when women play a leadership role in making things happen. Dont wait for the men, they are too busy looking down the road to the end of times.
