COLDER WEATHER STILL ON TRACK: Expect wintry showers laced with hail, thunder and even brief periods of heavy rain this afternoon. Currently the cold air is still down south but will gradually creep into the region this afternoon. There is the possibility ( 40-50%) of isolated pockets of thunder and hail. Brief snow showers could lower to around 800m. This will be a quick fire system, and will ease this evening and clear during the night Make the most of the hot temperatures!
