COME BACK TO THE HAND OF THE FATHER When we read from the book of Luke 15, we find three parables that emphasizes the recovery of the lost. First it is the recovery of a lost sheep, then the recovery of a lost coin and finally that of a lost Son. It is on the basis of this Son that I want to address how worth you are to get back to the hand of the Father (God). At creation God made us His, but because of deception of the devil, and our spiritual immaturity, sin drove us away from our Fathers house such that the more we stayed in sin, the more we were separated from God, we fell short of His glory (Romans 3:23) the same way the lost Son faced famine. But it is until we swallow our pride in sin, our pride of immaturity, and accept that we have gone astray and as such wee need to come back to our Fathers House for acceptance again. Our Heavenly Father is always waiting for us and the moment we come back He is more than prepared to accept and throw a party full of blessings to us. Coming back to the hand of our Heavenly Father is not for the busy bodies of this world, it is not for those who cant sacrifice their pride for repentance, neither is it for those that view themselves as self-righteous, but it is for those that can judge the difference between their belonging to God and their sufferings away from God, and act rationally upon it. This morning let me urge you my brother and sister that, no matter how far sin might have taken you, you can still make it back to the hand of your Heavenly, God is waiting patiently for your coming home the same the Father of the lost Son was waiting. God is patient with receiving you back into His hand, for He has prepared a bunch of restorations for you. Do not consider how dull and dirty your life looks like now, come to light and life will be your new name. It is now upon you this morning to swallow your pride, to think about how good it is to live under your Fathers love, protection, provision and warmth. Come back to His hand, repent, He is waiting for you even today! May the good Lord lead you as you return back to the hands of our creator in the Mighty name of Jesus. Let there be the Father-Son restoration in your life this morning!
