CONSUMER ALERT: I received a pretty offical looking email from Bank of America Online today - it said my account was locked and to fill out the attached form to verify information and the charges and activity on my account. Something didnt seem right. It was address to Account Holder I checked and I was able to still go on line to my account and nothing seemed wrong, no alerts, warnings or charges. I called BofA using the customer service # on my card -I did not click on the link in the email to contact us and I did not download/open the attachment. BofA advised me the email is NOT from them and had me forward it to their FRAUD Dept. - and they also said they would NEVER send any forms via email that would need to be filled out. Be very watchful people! The email was from [email protected] and looked very official.
