*** COOKERY / HOSPITALITY STUDENTS *** Chefs have been added to the SOL from 01/07/2014, which is a GREAT NEWS for students who are enrolled in or completed a Commercial Cookery course. Eligible applicants can apply for 485 (TR) and other permanent visas (189, 190 or 489)! You may be eligible for a 485 (TR) visa if you: have not been granted a 485 visa before are on an eligible student visa have 6 each in IELTS completed Certificate III and Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) have 360 hours of paid work experience as a Chef have a provisional skills assessment (PSA) from TRA Student on 485 visa will have the opportunity to work full time, get more work experience and complete the Job Ready Program (JRP) to be eligible for Permanent Visas. Students who are not eligible for Permanent Visas can still use their work experience for employer sponsorship for 457/ENS/RSMS visas. Note: 1. Patisserie or Bakery students are NOT eligible. 2. You will need to have FULL Skills Assessment and 60 points under Skill Select to apply for Permanent Visas.
