CORRECTIVE COLORING CAN BE TRICKY AND TAKE A FEW PROCESSES... This could mean more than 2/3levels of lift or deposit. -a few points from Behindthechair, that I always try to communicate to a client.- Communicate clearly and often. Let your client know exactly what to expect every step of the way through the correction service. If you’re deepening her color, for example, be sure that she understands that after you fill the color, it will be a startling bright orange color before you get to the end, brunette result. This will eliminate unpleasant surprises during her appointment. Be realistic and manage expectations. It’s better to under promise and over-deliver than put the hair at risk. Say, “You will leave with beautiful color today. And while it may not be exactly what you want, it will be exactly what you want as we go through this process together.” If the client isn’t satisfied, let her go rather than compromise the integrity of the hair. It’s not worth risking your entire reputation with a disastrous result to retain a single client.
