COUNTRY does not die but YOU go through this post and get to know why the admin of this page wrote DIED instead of mudered or any other words.. YOUR 5 minutes to your dying country..... LEAVE_COUNTRY_FOR _LIVING According to the Department of Foreign Employment, around 2,000 people at present are seeking permission to go abroad every day. Official government data show around 2.2 million people—7.30 percent of the total population—are working in various countries. However, the actual number is said to be much higher than that. A majority of these workers are between the age of 20 and 23. The contribution of remittance to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is said to be above 20 percent, as no exact figures are available. According to the National Migration Survey Report, Nepal received Rs 260 billion—19 percent of the GDP—in 2011. A study commissioned by the Ministry of Labour and Transport management and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that 40 to 50 percent of the total migrant workers went abroad through irregular channels. The number of Nepali workers leaving the country for foreign employment has soared to 480,990 in the first 11 months of this fiscal year according to recent data released by the Nepal government. 349,943 among them were going abroad for the first time while the remaining 131,047 were repeat Nepali migrant workers. This surge in the flight of Nepali manpower from the country is linked to political turmoil, sluggish growth in jobs, unfavorable business environment within the country and more lucrative salaries and perks offered by the destination countries. Nepal saw a steep 39 % decline in investments in new businesses as of the 10th month of this fiscal year to Rs 48.84 billion from last year’s figure of Rs 79.76 billion. Commitments of foreign direct investment (FDI) also decreased by 31.03 % during the first nine months of this fiscal year from last year’s figure for the same period of time. The FDI figure stands at Rs 5 billion over the period in comparison to Rs 7.25 billion last year. CORRUPTION_TO_ESTABLISHMENT Nepal is the second most corrupt country in South Asia after Afghanistan, with Bhutan being the least corrupt in the region, if one goes by the Corruption Perception Index- 2011 released by Berlin-based Transparency International today. LEAVE _TO STUDY Some 26,948 students had obtained no-objection letters from the ministry during the fiscal year 2009/2010 whereas the number came down to 11,912 in 2010/2011. The decrease is by more than 15 thousand. The decline in the number of those seeking no-objection letters has not only caused a loss in government revenue but negatively affected the business of the mushrooming educational consultancies. In fiscal year 2007/08, only 587 students had received no-objection letters from the ministry. There was a dramatic surge in the fiscal year 2008/09 as a total of 24,824 student sought no-objection letters from the ministry. The latest decrease is the result of tightened visa policy adopted by Britain, United States of America and Australia. These are the most preferred destinations by the Nepalese students. In the fiscal year 2009/2010, some 19,068 students acquired no-objection letters for the UK while this number came down to 3,075 in the fiscal year 2010-11. The past trend was that most of the students applied for student visas to have jobs for money. However, as the destination countries tightened their working permissions for students, it has controlled the flow of students. The recent trend is that students with genuine study plans and eligibility are getting visas. Rajendra Baral, general secretary of Education Consultancies Association Nepal (ECAN), said that the number of Nepalese students going abroad for studies has decreased due to stricter policies of the destination countries. Most of the Nepali people cannot afford education in western universities. When they are restricted to have jobs, the number of students naturally goes down. The economic crisis in the destination countries has played its part, said Baral. Baral said that more Nepalese students turned their attention to go India and China for higher studies. The Education Ministry collected Rs. 53,800,000 revenue by issuing no-objection letters in the fiscal year 2009/10. However, in the fiscal year 2010/11, it collected only 23,800,000 rupees. WOMEN_ABUSED_IN_ABROAD Statistics on the number of women who leave the country each year to work abroad vary because many women lack the proper documentation. It ranges from 67,000 to 83,000 women, depending on the source. The Foreign Employment Department estimates that 2.3 million women have left Nepal for work in the past 10 years, when the trend began.Sushil Dhungana, president of the Foreign Nepali Workers Rescue Center, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that assists workers who have been exploited abroad, says that of the 67,000 women who went to the Middle East for employment in 2006, only 3,000 had proper documentation. They are the only ones who left the country legally and can seek help from the government if necessary. CHILD_LABOR In 1924 A.D we abolished slavery by the money of Pashupatinath daan petikaa (fund) but now hundreds of NGOs and INGOs are in the country but cant reduce child labor because millions of young people have left country. Then who is here to do theirs job or work? Children of Nepal So we have million skillful outside and million illiterate who is inside. So million children who have not got education and toils hard to get food for two times... After 10 years can you guarantee that they will not take a gun in hand for conflict with justice? So where are we taking our country towards??? So i wrote Died instead of other words.. do you think i am happy to write died to my own country? i can bleed till death for my motherland but time has not yet come.
