COURT DATE FOR HUBERT HENRY TOMORROW AND PETITION SIGNATURES DELIVERED FOR SKYLAR Dear friends, Hubert Henry, the man charged under both BC provincial and federal legislation with regard to allegedly leaving his dog Skylar tied to the back of his truck with inadequate access to food, water, and shelter, apparently intends to plead guilty in court tomorrow. Henry was previously convicted of causing an animal to continue to be in distress and received a $300 fine. Your petition signatures (20,239 of them!) have been delivered to Crown Counsel for this case. Thank you to everyone who signed and shared, and to good friend of animals everywhere, Jayne Cvetanoski, for hosting this petition! Hopefully the courts will decide that this man should never be given another opportunity to harm an animal as the BC SPCA has recommended and petitioners have requested. If you wish to attend court to support Skylar, who has since been adopted into a loving home, the hearing is at 9:30a.m. at the Law Courts in Victoria, BC, 850 Burdett Avenue.
