COURTESY POST: The woman rehoming this sweet baby has liver failure. ADOPTION NEEDED Dove · Spayed, indoor female cat · Breed: domestic shorthair · Coloring: Grey and black back and head with white paws, face and belly. · 13.5 lbs (should be around 12 lbs) · Born 2007 · Took her in as an abandoned cat (she was outside for 2 yrs) in Feb 2010 · Feb 2010: complete exam, very healthy. The black marks near her eyes are filling in with hair more each year. They are from living outside and were very bad when we first got her. · 2013: teeth cleaned, no problems · Next shots due July 2016 Reason for giving her up: I have liver failure. Dove is a playful cat. She likes her belly rubbed. She likes being brushed, and talks a lot when she is brushed. She likes nibbling on fingers (very gently), and sitting on laps or the arm of a chair. She doesn’t walk in front of you but she does like to follow you any place you go. She loves people. She will play with toys on strings, but not so much toy balls or toy mice on floor, and she likes catnip. She loves food but has no control so we give her 3 oz of wet food in the morning and 2oz wet food in the evening, and a little bit less than half a cup of dry food. Dove comes with 36 cans (5 oz) of food, a large 12 lb package of dry food, glucosamine supplements (helps strengthen cats’ bones before and after if they develop arthritis, but Dove is fine), a brush, nail clippers, a litter box with a new bag of litter (42 lbs) and bags, a litter scoop, a travel carrier, a scratching post, a small bag of catnip, a cat tree/climbing tower, and a treat bag (we only give her 1-3 treats a day). She doesn’t have bed because she sleeps in the tree or on the end of my bed. She also comes with a collar with a name tag, food and water dishes and a placemat. She is a very wonderful cat and we do love her. Dove would do well as the only animal in a household. We would like to keep Dove with us until she is adopted. People could come to our home, we could go to theirs, or we could bring her up to the placement agency if someone is interested in her. WE would pay the adoption fee or donation due for someone who wants to take her. Evelyn Daly 480-962-6017
