(CP) - The legislatures in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are taking precautions on Wednesday after shots were fired on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. In Halifax, security was increased at the Nova Scotia legislature and the building was locked down but Speaker Kevin Murphy says daily proceedings will continue. Only people with official passes are being let into the building. Murphy says he also asked for two extra police officers at the legislature. At the New Brunswick legislature in Fredericton, the sergeant-at-arms ordered that legislative assembly buildings be closed to the public.
