CR presents screening of ‘When I Came Home’ Followed by a series of talks about Veterans College of the Redwoods will screen the documentary film ‘When I Came Home’ on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the CR Performing Arts Theater. The film will be followed by a discussion panel led by Veterans and service providers. This event is free and open to the public. ‘When I Came Home’ is a film about homeless veterans in America: from those who served in Vietnam to those returning from the war in Iraq. The film looks at the challenges faced by returning combat veterans and the battle many must fight for the benefits promised to them. Through the story of Herold Noel, an Iraq War veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and living out of his car in Brooklyn, ‘When I Came Home’ reveals a failing system and the veterans struggle to survive after returning from the war.
