CRAVINGS- CONCLUSION Today, fruits and vegetables seem to appear only in shampoo or chocolate endorsements! Advertisements, Media and Market Inducements, are the 3 prime agents for shaping our perspective, information and knowledge, about the world around us. They form our thoughts, and shape our attitudes and choices... How does this drain our reserves? How do such foods become an ecological and economical stress? How do they contribute to the exploding markets of dis-ease and environmental degradation? Be it climate change, obesity or stock market crashes. Why do we have fewer farms and farmers and more supermarkets? The food we are persuaded to buy and eat today, is sold to us much like the Emperors New Clothes- where his new, fancy and exotic clothes were in fact, nothing at all! Are our cravings being fed through market endorsements, commercials and infomercials? Is the gap in our health the same gap between the food less foods we are eating and the nourishment that the body desires? Has the information available today started shaping our food cravings and food choices? Do they really satiate our needs? Can we choose to seek out information on food differently? We urgently need to re-educate ourselves to see the larger picture, if we wish to amass real health and wealth. If we aim to reverse disease and regain the fertility of our soils. We need to first choose our food and our lifestyle consciously and wisely, and then constantly review the impact of our choices. WE SEEM TO HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IS ONE IN WHICH BODY-SENSE IS COMMON-SENSE. Dr Vijaya Venkat.
