CRICKET PRESS RELEASE The John Eugene Cricket Academy provides a world class pathway for young cricketers to develop the skills necessary to excel in international cricket by encouraging peer group competition. The Academy’s charter is based on the philosophy that we need to expose our players from a very tender age to the technical aspects of the game in a fun environment and create a professional environment to facilitate the development of more advanced and talented players. The Academy strives to create a unique environment where individuals of all ages, abilities and experience can feel welcomed to be part of a supportive and continuous learning environment. JECA Core Objectives are: To create a learning environment to foster the holistic development of participants through sports. To identify and develop players capable of winning matches for St Lucia and the Windward Islands at the under 13s, 15s, 18s and senior level. To ensure players and participants exemplify the Academys Core Values in their everyday lives. To become the preeminent cricket training facility in the Windward Islands. To work closely with the community to support under privileged youth. Over the next two weeks, players of the John Eugene Cricket Academy will come up against a number of English cricket groups, who will be visiting Saint Lucia to play a series of Limited-Overs matches, which starts this Thursday March 27th and will continue on Friday April 04th, Monday April 07th and Saturday April 12th. The first three and the final game at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, with a 10.00 a.m. start on each day. The encounters will be against 12-13 years old and 15-17 years old. We are eager to give our little ones as much exposure as possible, hence we are seeking your assistance in giving coverage to the encounter.
