CRNODRINSKI OR CHERNODRINSKI (CERNODRINSKI)? I heard the great - TopicsExpress

CRNODRINSKI OR CHERNODRINSKI (CERNODRINSKI)? I heard the great Macedonian playwright Vojdan Crnodrinski be referred to as Chernodrinski on SBS Radio (Macedonan language) by host Violeta Jovanovska. I know, I know... youll jump up and down and say thats how you say it and you cant change names. But please consider this for a minute Cernodrinski/Crnodrinski was the pen name, that is not the real name, of playwright Vojdan Pop-Georgiev Kuzmanov whose pen name or pseudonym is derived from the river Black Drin (Crni drin) in Western Macedonia. If that is the case, then it should be Crnodrinski... Im surprised why the 33 experts employed by the Institute for the Macedonian Language - Krste Crvenkovski (UKIM) havent consulted a map. Moreover, no Australian or American or Canadian journalist waits on a directive or order from Oxford University, England over the use of the English langauge. We would like to see the Macedonian language journalists employed by SBS radio, whose wages are paid by Australian taxpapers, exercise more independence and not wait on headquarters back in Skopje, The Republic of Macedonia. Logic and reason are universal. Gravity is the same in Skopje as it is in Melbourne or Sydney. If you throw an apple in the air, it will fall to the ground. mk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Војдан_Чернодрински
