CSX Railroad has just notified the City of Plymouth that they will need to make emergency repairs to the Main Street Crossing starting on Thursday, October 30th. CSX Railroad crews will need to make emergency repairs to a broken rail in the Main Street Crossing and this work will require that the entire crossing be closed for several days. The preliminary plan has the crossing closed Thursday, Friday and into Saturday morning, however weather and unforeseen track conditions may extend the work schedule into early next week. CSX Railroad is responsible for the traffic control around the site and traffic will be detoured from Main Street to the Farmer Street crossing to be able to clear the tracks.
