As the trace of commensurate infrastructural and human development in the five LGAs that make up the northern senatorial district of Cross River State continue to trail this thread, so far, can we conclude that for the last 7 years that governor Liyel Imoke has been on the throne in Cross River State, can we infer that the north has not met the criteria of citing projects like the Songhai farm in Abi LGA (Central), Cross River State School of Management/polytechnic Ugep (Central), Sporting complex/Stadium Ikom (central), Wilma Palm (south), Calabar International Conference Center (South), Tinapa ICT incubator center (South), renovation of Margaret Ekpo International Airport (South), the conversion of cultural centre to shop rites company (South), the construction of Airport bypass and the flyovers therein just to mention but few????? Then, by these few show of outright marginalization of the people of the north, can cross Riverians now suggest that until a Northern Cross Riverian assume that exalted position of a governor in the state before the zone will feel or smear any impact of purposeful governance in the state? Laughable, is the situation whereby as some are battling to state the shoddy pattern of roads constructed in their areas, yet some are mentioning an attempt of roads construction in their locality but forgotten and abandoned since inception, can we now believed that a northern governorship candidature is a project under senator Liyel Imoke as the incumbent governor of CRS?? Although, there is no part of the state that will claimed nontouched as far as road construction is concerned under the administration of senator Liyel Imoke, but, should the northern Cross Riverians wholeheartedly eulogize the administration of Senator Liyel Imoke for given consent to them only on the few roads that was poured with black charcoal without constructively and strongly demand for a position of governor come 2015 or be seen as sycophants and a nonentity in the eyes of other privileged zone in the state??? To cry aloud, the northerners have. since failed themselves. No wonder,Mr Henry Obi saw the answer to summarized this unwholesome discrimination meted on the ZONE and and asserted that Ogoja generally have not been that lucky to have a peoples centered leaders. This challenge is for all of us.....If you failed to plan, youre automatically planning to fail. If you do not ask for your rights, your rights will never ask for you!
