Cain and Abel the first murder Genesis 4:1-12 It doesnt take the IQ of a brain surgeon to recognize Cains jealousy. He compared his gift with Abels and he was lost. Instead of attacking his own problem of jealousy, he attacked his brother and killed him. Not exactly a fairy-tale ending, right? Jealous people are typically not happy with who they are. They spend too much time comparing themselves to others and trying to conform to anothers style, personality, or look. This comparison game leaves us feeling like losers because well always find someone stronger, smarter, more athletic, or better looking than we are. Fortunately, God doesnt care what color, weight, athletic, or smart. God is interested in our hearts. If you can understand this truth, youll find no reason for jealousy. He loves us just the way we are; so thank Him and celebrate our creation.
