[Cairo Scholars] Senior Program Officer 1 The evaluation and selection process usually takes one month after the deadline. Level Senior level Position Details Position Senior Program Officer Reports to Managing Director Type of Contract Full-time fixed time contract Contact Info info@bk-eg 1 bk-eg Job Summary The Senior Program Officer is responsible for the overall timely and quality management of the technicalbassistance and advisory services delivered by Beit Al Karma. He / She is the focal point of allbcommunications with Beit Al Karma’s client in all technical and administrative activities except financialbmatters which is the responsibility of the Operations Manager. All field-based data collection, reporting development, production and submission are the responsibility of the Senior Program Officer. He / she must ensure evidence-based and rich-technical substance reporting, utilizing info-graphs such as informative tables and graphs and photos. Duties & Responsibilities Develop, write and review evaluation and assessment reports including 1) report outline 2) inception report 3) draft report 4) final report 5) executive summaries 6) presentations and 7) any other reporting requirements as per specific client’s demands. Submit reports in a timely manner and with an excellent quality comparable to international development agencies’ reporting best practices Guide, coordinate, review, edit and enhance reports produced by technical subject matter specialists Conduct field visits across governorates, collect data from the field using in-depth interviews, focus groups discussions and story-telling techniques. Manage and supervise quantitative surveys. Ensure reliability, validity and quality of primary findings Present primary information into a concise, logical, readable set of tables, graphs and narrative Ensure that reports are developed with scientific analysis supported by critical programmatic conclusions and recommendations. Communicate with the client all technical inquiries, field schedules, briefing and debriefing meetings, workshops, reports submission, etc. Overall responsibility in the coordination and follow up on all projects-related administrative issues including supervising data entry employees, field data collectors, preparing field itinerary schedules, etc. Prepare Projects calendar, track, follow up and take necessary actions to respect deadlines. Write articles and publications based on the success indicators of each project Prepare and present project(s) presentations in a participative manner to get feedback that shall enhance the quality and value of reports as well as ensuring buying-in from stakeholders. Assist in writing proposals Assist in writing training curriculums and presentations and participate in the delivery of training sessions in business development and organizational sustainability Qualification Master Degree in Social Studies, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies, International relations, Development Communication Experience 2 of 2 5+ years of experience in designing and / or implementing development projects in either local democratic governance, socio-economic development, child protection, women & youth empowerment, and / or civil society strengthening At least one project experience as a team leader in the evaluation and monitoring field Experience in delivering training courses, workshops and seminars is a plus Specific skills required Excellent writing capabilities in English Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and pay attention to details Ability to manage workloads, demonstrate accountability for outputs Good organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure [end of doc]
