Camden residents visit local MP Chris Patterson to demand that AGL either prove their Camden Gas Project is safe or cease operating in the area. Camden MP Chris Patterson responded today by stating if AGL are found to be breaching their contract then the NSW Government and the NSW EPA will act. Residents were angry that health concerns in Spring Farm where residents are living 200 metres from coal seam gas wells were not being addressed. Other locals demanded to know why the NSW governments 2km buffer zone for CSG in residential areas does not apply to the thousands of NSW residents living within AGLs existing licences such as Camden and Gloucester.
