Can anyone local friends recommend a good general practitioner? I had been going to Wading River Family Care, but a few months ago I got a call that they moved to a new location. I went there, and it is not a new location, but a totally different practice. I waited well over an hour to be seen, and the nurse wrote down all my stats on a piece of scrap paper. My blood results took 4 weeks to get back, now they have prescribe me a new medication for anemia that will block my current thyroid medication. CVS was surprised the doctor didnt know that. I dont think he even had any medical records on me, hence, the jotted notes on a ripped piece of scrap paper. I also got the feeling I was much more intelligent than he was, and thats not a feeling one wants from a doctor. Id like to stay in Suffolk County if possible, but I am will to travel further west if someone knows someone decent. General practitioners seem to be a dying breed. Thanks for your help!
