Can have mix views with this situation BUT There will always be conflict when a venture moves from a crime reducing notion to a competition. When this happens the motivation changes from bettering society to earning an income... BTW What were the plans to reduce crime using basketball?? Would love to see them so you can experiment in other sports. There is no problem with having a basketball competition thats DEVELOPMENT for the SPORT but that has nothing to do with SPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT which is using sport as the tool to better society and thats the highlight of the Initiative ... Emotions will run high because lots at stake especially when you are representing your community. So firstly there should be a name change or better planning to incorporate crime reduction plans...
