Can we talk about dating for a second? Im nearly 25 years old. Im getting to a point in my life where Im actually ready for a relationship of some substance. However, every relationship up until this point has been an absolute nightmare. Im not saying Im perfect, but I have my shit together, I dont have too much emotional baggage, I know how to communicate, and I know what I want. I take care of myself, im not looking for someone to care for me, Im looking for a partner in crime. But I date these men and they are all so wishy-washy. They have more issues than vogue. They lie, they cheat, they expect me to be their mother. They have weird expectations of relationships, and as soon as I challenge their ego or shitty things they do they freak out. It doesnt matter if I date men in their 20s or their 30s, they all seem to be man children. Now, is this operator error? Am I attracted to the wrong sort of men? Im feeling so completely disheartened and like maybe I should just spend the rest of my life with horses and dogs.
