Can you believe Christmas week is here! The good news is, were going to see great weather for Christmas, but we have a few bumps in the road before we get to that point. Weve seen showers and thunderstorms throughout the day today and that pattern will continue tonight. Showers and thunderstorms are also on tap for our Tuesday with the chance of severe weather Tuesday afternoon/evening. The main threat we will see in our area are straight-line winds, heavy rain, dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, and isolated tornadoes. We will be watching this system very closely over the next 24-hours and we will keep you updated as the day progresses. Now, on to the good stuff. The cold front should push out of our area Wednesday and skies will begin to clear. For all of you with plans on Christmas Eve, the night will be cool & quiet, something that will make Santa very happy. Santa will also be happy Christmas Day, as well as all of us, as a great day of weather is expected. We will see mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures. We will see lows Christmas morning in the upper 30s, highs that afternoon in the upper 50s to right around 60-degrees. Have a great rest of your Monday and remember to stay weather-aware Tuesday.
