Canadian National Team Update The pace is fast and hard and the competition is grueling. Day 2, Robbie Wiseman and Ben Stewart stepped up to represent Canada. Ben lost on the Tatami to Great Britain. Robbie entered into the ring at 10:30 am, the third bout of the morning to face off against a very durable Czech, who brought a hard game a solid chin and jaw shaking kicks to this 91kg battle. Speed, footwork and sweet boxing followed by well timed kicks, brought and kept Robbie into the lead on points very early in the first round. Staggering and almost knocking out his opponent on three separate occasions in the second round. The bout went a full three rounds with Robbie winning a decisive finish. Several hours of break, ice, water then back into the ring at 4:30 pm, Robbie met with Ireland for his second bout of the day. The Irish fighter almost a head taller than Robbie, utilized his reach attempting to keep Robbie at the distance of his full extension. Using great footwork and timing, staying tight on the inside, Robbie delivered a boxing driven fight securing his second decisive win of the day and tournament. Canada will return to the ring with Robbie competing against Ukraine at 3:00 pm and Jordan Ferguson stepping on to the Tatami at 4:00 pm to address a Hungarian opponent.
