Cancer is an equal opportunity killer. If doesnt care if youre Chimera/gay/straight/Make/Female/Transgender/Islamic/Christian/non-religious/black/white/purple/tall/short/old/ or VERY young...It can take your life. I cant understand the fact that many young people (yes, I am talking about WCU) have said that cancer wont affect them or it isnt that big of a deal. Or my all time douche-bag statement that people only die if they dont fight/give up so there no need for any research. Listen up college kids, we are not invincible. We are not safe speedy around these mountain roads, we arent guaranteed to survive a drunken night on the town....and we are not immuned to cancer. OUR TOMMORROWS are no more guaranteed than the elderly. Even if you never get cancer, can you make the guarantee about you children? Your best friend? Sorry for the rant, but yesterday at work someone saw my Relay for Life IE tab and felt overly compelled to preach to me how stupid me supporting the cause was, how no one really get sick from that anymore, and how I was too young to even worry about it.
