Cancer survivor and author April Boyer, of Ashland, Ohio, will be holding a book signing of her book In His Shadow at the library, March 28 noon to closing. The book encourages the cancer patient and family; and reminds the victor of spiritual inspiration from where their healing comes. In His Shadow begins when the discovery is made and does not dodge the fearful moments, the sorrow, or the frustrations that follow. The journey includes a look at how life around the cancer patient continues on its way, or on its bumpy ride in choices. The book includes some resources and vocabulary that may prove helpful to both the patient and family. In His Shadow encourages the cancer patient to realize hopeful goals, to look expectantly toward recovery and to lean heavily on Gods promises. It is the authors hope that her book prepares the patient to become a survivor!
