Canucks Junior Parents The Canucks Rugby Club will be hosting a school team from Ireland, Lurgan College, from July 5th to 8th. Lurgan College will be playing your son on Saturday, July 6th. Please read the attached letter, which was sent out to Canuck membership, to understand the history behind this hosting. In the billeting of Lurgan College, we need billets for 25 juniors, aged 16 to 18. We hope to billet the Lurgan College juniors with our Canuck juniors, as the promotion of lasting friendships through the sport of Rugby is our goal. This is best achieved by billeting players with players, people of similar age for the great experience of both parties. We hope to billet one, possibly two tourists (if room permits) with each Canuck Junior player. We hope you will take this opportunity to meet and invite a young tourist into your home, an experience which we are sure you will enjoy. Attached you will see the itinerary, for your son, and the tourist(s) during the weekend. As hosts your responsibilities will be as follows; Pick up your billet on the Friday evening, provide supper. Provide Saturday breakfast. Provide transportation to Saturday’s game. If possible provide transportation from game to Hosting Barbeque at Canucks Clubhouse. If not possible to provide transportation from game to Canucks Clubhouse, the Canucks Rugby Club will ensure transportation is provided to Canucks Clubhouse. Billets will not be required to provide supper. Provide Sunday breakfast. Provide transportation to Stampede ground, South Gate. As your player billet will be at the Stampede grounds for the rodeo, and to enjoy grounds, you will not be required to provide lunch or supper. Provide Monday breakfast.
