Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the best stand alone Marvel movie. Not as good as The Avengers, but better than the other Marvel movies that have been released throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This movie is phenomenal! I had an absolute blast with it! Chris Evans does a flawless job as Captain America. I think Captain America is the most relatable superhero out of the Avengers. His mind is really tested in this movie. Not only is Captain America: The Winter Soldier a superhero action movie, but it also has a political spy thriller feel to it. Its the most grounded Marvel movie to date. The action in this movie is very intense and some of the violence actually made me surprised that they would show it in a Marvel movie. Which made it a little more awesome. You can tell that the actors are doing the stunts and theres not a lot of CGI, with the exception of the last hour of the movie. The visual effects were mind blowing! Very realistic. The entire cast did a fantastic job! Scarlett Johansson was great as usual as Black Widow. This was actually her best performance as Black Widow. Anthony Mackie was awesome as Falcon. He gave a comedic relief to the film while also having heart. Robert Redford was great as Alexander Pierce. His character gave a dark feel to the film. Samuel L Jackson kills it as Nick Fury. This movie shows how vulnerable Nick Fury can actually be. The Winter Soldier is a fantastic villain as well. Hes very intense and quite a challenge for Captain America. Make Sure to STAY AFTER ALL OF THE CREDITS!! There is a very important scene after the first credits that will make most Marvel fans cheer in excitement. I sure did! There is another scene after the final credits roll. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is definitely well worth seeing in the theater. 10 out of 10!
