Captain Jeff had the F/V Bad Influence out on the blackfish grounds today with Stan, Jeff, and John from New York. The weather was less than favorable with tide against wind conditions and heavy rain. The first few hours were difficult as a majority of the catch was made up of short togs and sea bass. However, the boys stayed at the rail and the fish began to chew. We had a nice mix of keeper and shorts for the remainder of the trip. The boys reached their limit with fish to 7 pounds. The bad influence will be sailing from newport for blackfish season beginning on October 18.
