Car, Building Accident Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 9:23 PM on 5-7-14 officers were dispatched to a car building accident at 400 East 13th St. A red Honda Civic was North bound on 4th Ave at a high rate of speed, witnesses estimated 60 to 80 mph. The vehicle could not negotiate the curve where 4th Ave turns into 13th St. The vehicle went up over the curb and hit the west side of the apartment building at 400 E 13th, the vehicle then rolled onto its side. Residents helped the driver out of the vehicle and rolled the vehicle back onto its wheels at which time the driver tried to get back into it and drive away. When the vehicle would not move he climbed out and tried to walk away. The driver a 43 year old Sioux Falls man was arrested for DUI, Reckless Driving, No Drivers License, and Hit and Run, he was also charged with a Stop Sign Violation. There were no injuries.
