Car insurance companies have no problem taking consumers dollars but yet act like parsiminious paupers (and by that i mean super cheap) when it comes to paying out claims. All I can say is make sure refurbished engines are never used as replacement engines after an accident. Unfortunately I was not made aware of this until after repairs were completed and I read the invoice. I questioned the mechanic and was assured the engine was under warranty. Moving forward, Ive paid to replace the starter/alternator and now a cylinder is blown bc of improperly seated sparkplugs. The dealer along with my insurance company are basically pointing fingers. The dealer basically stated the claims adjuster should have placed replace sparkplugs/coils etc in the original qoute. My daughters car is a 2012 and runs like a 1912. This is complete utter bull. If i wanted a defective, malfunctioning, ghetto rebuilt engine placed in her car, I would have instructed the insurance company and dealership to do so. Monday I will be calling my agent personally to express my concerns. Over 15 years...probably 20 if i include homeowners with this company and this is the treatment I receive. #frustrated #NotReallyAGoodNeighbor
