Cari Christman, executive director of the newly formed Red State Women PAC, said while “we believe Texas women want and deserve equal pay,” they didn’t think a law was the best way to achieve it. Asked what might be the solution by Jason Whitely of WFAA (Channel 8), Christman repeatedly said “women are extremely busy,” implying they didn’t have time for lawsuits over pay issues. She said women would instead prefer access to jobs and higher education opportunities. Because, you know, laws would PREVENT women from being payed less and we cant have that, right?
