Carisbrooke reserve, Main North Road, Salisbury Park. 👶 👶 Age: sitting up. This playground has recently been replaced and is now much more baby friendly! What is great about it? Separate sand play area with buckets, spades and sand toys. I love that they have kept the giant hollow tree and made it a real feature. My girls spent ages exploring it. Most of the Toddler playground is at a reduced height, making it easier to keep up with your munchkins. 4 baby swings, all with chains! Slides are on squishy asphalt. Heaps of shade from sails and trees. Large grassed area for play and some short walking trails. Toilets near the play area, large undercover area, plenty of seating and bbqs! Whats not so great: Bark in toddler area is not great for crawlers! Parts of the toddler playground have open platforms. I had a few close calls with my girls (17 months) about to take a dive from an open edge. Whilst there is a large fence preventing access to main north road, the immediate area around the playground is not fenced. There is a creek near by that has a significant amount of water during winter. I didnt have any issues, but something to consider if you have a runner! ___________________________________________________ Thank you so much to Claire for writing this article for us, we are very excited to welcome you to the Baby & Toddler Destinations Team!
