Catalyst.... This is my word for 2014. It changed me. It changed my mind and my heart and my family. 2014 changed my world. I grappled with the sudden loss of a deeply loved family member, the closing of a company that was not just my job but literally a piece of heart, the screeching and sudden halt to what I thought was a solid marriage. I was rocked not once or twice but with three close family members who are struggling with addiction, I tried to find ground with a move into a new house, I conceded to a bankruptcy after a loooong battle resulting from identity theft and I literally tore my leg to pieces after a tumble down the stairs at 2 am that left me couch-bound for literally 3 weeks. At the end of the day, I learned. I learned about forgiveness. I learned about friendship. I learned about faith. I learned about patience. But more than anything, I learned about the power of pure and unconditional love. This year was rough. But it is over. I dont go into 2015 with anything but an open heart, a mind at peace and a fierce mission to succeed on levels that I have never even dreamed about. But just succeeding is not enough. I will not rest, I will not waiver, I will not complete my mission until I have lifted every person I can possibly help up to the highest levels they can possibly achieve. Success is useless if I am the only one standing at the finish line. I will grow my tribe. I will shine my light. I will change my life and the lives of every person I come to call a friend.
