“Catch My Breath” Sneak Peak... Chapter 3 (Part 2 of 2) Libby threw her hands up in the air and turned her back on Brandon. “I don’t believe this,” she sputtered indignantly while stiffly placing her hands on her hips. “No one can be this unlucky, not even in Vegas.” Brandon’s grin was completely unrepentant as he continued to watch the highly miffed brunette. Until now, he hadn’t even realized how much he had been looking forward to seeing her again. There was just something about her that intrigued him and he really wanted to find out what that something was. Staying put, he took his time and studied the woman shaking her head. Her friend was whispering something at her ear that he couldn’t quite make out. Last night he vividly recalled how beautiful she looked in her fancy dress and her elegant hair-do. But today, dressed in a modest floral print skirt and an impeccably plain canary top, she was simply pretty. And oddly enough, simply pretty was looking damn appealing to him right now. He cocked his head to the side and with undisclosed pleasure he mentally braced himself for round two. “Excuse me, Miss?” She whirled around and faced him. “What do you want?” she asked him briskly. Several seconds ticked by as he lazily gazed at her. “Well for starters, a cordial hello, how are ya’ doing this fine sunny morning would be nice.” “I’m sorry, I don’t do cordial,” she snapped. “I can see that,” he replied jovially and for the life of him, Brandon couldn’t stop grinning.
