Catch Report week ending 21/4/14 The improvement in the weather didn’t seem to last that long, but I am glad to report that it didn’t slow down the bites. Mick Pearson netted one fish during his 3 day visit at a whopping 38lb 8oz just falling short of his PB by one ounce, Mick fished a 6ft raised area, and fished a Mainline Grange snowman tipped with yellow and fed a mixture of free offerings. Tom Johnson was rewarded after a 48-hour wait with a chunky 34lb mirror. He spotted fish under a tree margin he fished a single grain of fake corn and loose fed a generous amount of maggot. Andy Hisslop Smashed his PB with a 30lb 12oz mirror, the successful method was a single tipped boilie cast to showing fish, Dean Hollingworth first visit back after a year was eventful furthering his PB by a massive 7lb with a stunning 32lb mirror he used a multi rig baited with Mainline Cell fished to a silty spot at 50 yards and fed around 20 baits. Joe Jagger bagged a trio of fish including the first cat of the year at 38lb 8oz on a 9ft yellow zig! Followed by a 20lb 12oz and an upper double. Billy Scott got amongst the smaller fish but managed 4 and lost 1 to 22lb. There was also a number of doubles on the bank this week, good angling guys. Dont forget to send your photos to be entered into the fish of the month comp.
