Catdog went to the vets this afternoon for a checkup post tooth extraction. I wrestled him into his cage, and when he got out onto the table he was NOT in the best of moods. Vet, bravely, trying to examine how his gum was healing: Its a good thing that hes hissing, in a way, because it opens his mouth more. And then she decided to check his temperature at the last minute, as I was settling up. She brought him back a minute later. Me, looking at his expression: You put a thermometer up his bum, didnt you? Her: Yes. He didnt like it. He pooed in the cab back as a dirty protest, and the v nice driver said nothing about the smell as I wound down the windows, tilting his cage frantically so the squishy poo didnt squish out from between the bars… it was like a horror film in slow motion. We are both very glad to be home. If he doesnt get chicken treats tonight, I fear for my life.
