Cecilia Payne was a brilliant woman astronomer who, till after her death, was not given credit for her thesis on the composition of Sun. Some say it was because she was a woman. At the age of 25, Cecilia proposed that Hydrogen and Helium are the building blocks of the universe. She was dissuaded to publish her thesis that differed vastly from the conventional belief that Sun and Earth have the same composition.
