Celia Bote performing a contrast lateral shuffle drill. We use this drill to enhance the ability to change direction in the frontal plane. The band is used to add resistance to the cone and over-speed stimulus away from it. The goal is for Celia to create a small shin angle in relation to the ground when stopping. This will allow her to change direction at a much faster rate. Notice that her fastest change in directions occur when she drives the shin and thigh of the outside plant leg towards the ground.
