What will it take? I think it will take an act of God to make some marketers realize they need to change. They didnt listen when they got kicked off InfusionSoft/iContact/[insert latest ESP here] Or when they got banned by Adwords. Or when their Facebook account got shut down. Top blogs wont dare mention their products and usually poke fun at their tactics. Its like the Internet is screaming at them to change, instead they just ignore the signs. They bury themselves deeper into the shadows of the Internet looking for networks who will take their money without judging them. Its crazy to think that there are guys so blind to it that they buy FB ad accounts on the underground blackhat market over and over again to keep up with getting shut down repeatedly. Thats actually a real thing!! Meanwhile the coolest cooler comes and does millions WITHOUT an ugly auto play VSL. They even allowed player controls! GASP! Bloggers like Pat Flynn are making almost 6 figure months. The ViralNova guy Hubspot has over 11,000 customers paying hundreds of dollars per month and they dont use sales letters, VSLS, exit pops, any of that rubbish. Neither does their beloved shopping cart InfusionSoft. No, InfusionSoft gets it. They use inbound marketing. Udemy, Coursera, CreativeLive, AppSumo... Selling millions upon millions of dollars worth of Infoproducts and software without spammy tactics. All around the web in every industry there are businesses making millions without ever needing a bold red headline that starts with Discover the secrets to... Some of you need to find new masterminds and new gurus before its too late. The big brands (the idiots who waste money on branding as some marketers refer to them) have figured it out. They have blogs. They have membership sites. They are releasing mobile apps. The Internet is quickly becoming a mature media channel. Click prices are going up. Facebook announced a 120% increase in click prices. Its only going to get tougher and soon the big pockets will consolidate it all. They already are... Freelancer bought the WarriorForum. If youre offended by this post, Im probably talking directly to you. Im not trying to be a dick though, I want to help. I want so desperately to help. This message is what I live and breath. This message and this state of transition is all I think about all day and night. To those of you pumping your fist and agreeing with this post, I freaking love you guys. You get it.
