Central Texas Orchestral Society is please to present Friction Quartet, an energetic and edgy group of young musicians that will perform on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. This innovative group will also present the Marty Lundgren Master Class on Friday, January 16, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the CAC’s Mayborn Auditorium. The exciting program will feature works by Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears as well as Beethoven, Philip Glass, and more. Friction Quartet beautifully intertwines the spirit of 20th century classical music with familiar pop sounds to make it appeal and engage young people.
