Syed Ali Geelani said that, peaceful and symbolic protest against state terrorism will be held at all places after the prayer and as per the program, peaceful protest rally would be organised at Jamia Masjid Srinagar and Hamza Masjid Lalchowk .Syed Ali Geelani said whether AFSPA remains or is revoked killings and Markandal like incidents will continue to happen.Thursday,Syeed Ali Geelani in a press statement said that we can no longer remain silent over such incidents and added that It is our religious and moral obligation to register our protest against these gruesome events . Syed Ali Geelani said that Indian troopers brutally killed two innocent youth in Markandal and added that state police imposed restrictions and did not allowed people to offer condolence to grieved families .Syed Ali Geelani while terming it a worst example of state terrorism, added that suppressive measures perpetrated by state cannot be over looked and protest against these excesses is obligatory like that of prayer and fasting. Syed Ali Geelani said as a matter of fact AFSPA is not a issue for us and we least bother about the stance adopted by Omer Abdullah with respect to revocation of AFSPA,and added we believe that violations of human rights and killing innocent people will continue their till last Indian trooper remains on the ground. Whether AFSPA remains or is revoked , the ground reality will remain unchanged and it will not make any difference in already prevailing tense situation added Syed Ali Geelani .Syed Ali Geelani while referring to the past, said that though during the regime of late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah apparently AFSPA was not implemented yet hundreds of people were rounded up and beaten to pulp by Indian forces and state government remained mute spectator and added neither the FIR was lodged nor the personnel involved in incident were brought to justice. Hurriyat Chairman said that India and its forces treat Jammu and Kashmir as their colony and they can even kill entire population to continue their illegal occupation said Syed Ali Geelani. Hurriyat Chairman said the freedom movement of Jammu and kashmir is in its crucial stage and since last 65 years India with its full might is trying to crush the ongoing freedom struggle. Commenting over the role played by pro Indian Political parties, Syed Ali Geelani added that Omer Abdullah and other pro indian politicians are lending a helping hand and extended their full cooperation with India. Syed Ali Geelani while stressing for steadfastness and exhibition of commitment, said that there are only two options for people of Jammu and Kashmir, and added either they have to surrender and agree to slavery forever and added the second option for us is remain committed with freedom struggle and forbid every kind of bargaing.Syed Ali Geelani said that nations with self esteem and honour never make compromise with slavery and rather prefer death in dignified way and added that I am sure that new generation would exhibit their commitment and follow this despite all odds and difficulties. Syed Ali Geelani said that no time period can be fixed or specified and added however, no oppressive power can keep a nation slave forever. #ik
