Chapter 1: Liam imagine: You were walking along the beach with your iPod listening to music. The beach was practically empty today, you were surprised. “Hey, can you come help me?!” you heard someone yell. You spun around, who said that? You saw a boy buried to his chin in sand. “Hey” you giggled, “Can I help you?” The boy laughed, “Yeah, my friends buried me here and ran away practically snorting” You walked over to him and sat down in the sand. You started digging him out. As you gently dug the sand from around his neck your fingertips brushed against his neck; he looked down blushing. You bit your lip. You kept digging and finally you were at his shoulders. You started digging his arms out when you noticed his biceps, he must lift weights every day! You final got his arms free and he helped you dig his waist out. After a moment he pulled himself out of the sand. He held his hand out, “Thanks. I’m Liam by the way!” Who shook his sand-covered hand, “Nice to meet you Liam, I’m Shay.” Liam smiled, “Hi Bri! I’m going to get in the water to rinse this sand off, are you busy?” You grinned, “I’m down for a swim, and it’s pretty hot!” Liam jumped into a crashing wave, resulting in him getting knocked over. You laughed at him as he stood up. The corners of his turned up, he was trying not to smile. He splashed you with a bunch of water and you chased after him laughing. After a while you both grew tired of running and sat on the sand. Each time the waves rolled in the tide would wash over your toes. You and Liam rolled onto your backs looking at the clouds. Liam drew a long breath, “What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?” You turned over so you were facing each other, “Hmm. My mom wouldn’t let me go to prom so I tried sneaking out on the roof but I guess she saw me and I got busted.” Liam raised his eyebrow, “You never went to prom?” You nodded, “What about you? What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?” Liam paused to think, “I used to get bullied a lot in school and one day I just got sick of it all and I went to the store and bought a bunch of eggs and toilet paper. I knew where the guy who bullied me lived so I went to his house and basically destroyed it. He spent 5 days cleaning it up.” “That’s amazing. I’m glad to hear that because I hate guys like that.” You pointed out. “Yeah. Hey, do you know what time it is?” he asked. You pulled out your phone, “Crap! It’s almost 4:00, Liam I have to go I’m sorry! I have to meet my family somewhere at 4:30!” Liam frowned, “That’s fine. Are you free tomorrow night?” You shook you’re head, “No but the night after that I have nothing planned.” “You do now” he grinned. You laughed, “I have to go change out of my suit, can you enter your number in my phone?” Liam nodded as you sprinted away. When you came back to get your phone Liam was sat on the ground waiting. “You look gorgeous.” He said. Your checks turned bright pink. “Thanks Liam. I have to take off but I’ll see you soon! Text me tonight, I’ll need someone to talk to.” With that you sprinted off with your phone, leaving Liam alone on the beach. You got to the restaurant where you were meeting your family for dinner. Your mother stood up, “You’re 15 minutes late Shay!” “I’m sorry; traffic was bad!” you lied. You mother flattened her skirt and sat down; gosh it was hard being her daughter. You father cleared his throat, “Where were you today Shay?” You bit your lip, “I was at the beach.” Your father looked surprised, “Were you alone?” You didn’t know whether you should lie or not. “No, I met a friend.” “Female?” “No.” you said looking at your napkin. “Shay,” he started, “I don’t want you hanging out with irresponsible young men. They’re nothing but trouble.” You rolled your eyes, “Dad what do you expect? Just because you are a governor doesn’t mean I need to marry the President or something.” “Shay, I’m not saying that.” He started. “No, you are! You think you’re the shit because you’re the governor!” You mother gasped, “Shay! Do not talk to your father like that.” You stood up, “I’m sure you care so much. I’m surprised you two aren’t divorced yet!” You father pushed his chair back and rose, “Shay you need to sit down you’re making a scene.” You snorted, “Oh sure, let me just sit down and pretend none of this happened.” And with that you stormed out of the restaurant yelling, “Which beach house should I meet you at?!” You had no ride to the beach house so you were stuck walking home, at night, alone. The sky was growing cloudy and you were getting cold. Car drove by and with each car, you grew more nervous. One car slowed down when it got to you, you worried about who was driving this car. The car stopped completely and the driver’s window rolled down, it was Liam. Liam looked concerned, “Do you need a ride?” ~Kami
