Character Building Society farmed in G P G College Lakki Marwat. (Marwat Television News) A “Character Building Society” has been formed in the Government Postgraduate College, Lakki Marwat on Friday in a meeting under the Chairmanship of the Principal Prof. Muhammad Nafis. This committee comprises senior professors and Students which will be responsible for the character building of the students on the basis of moral guidelines of Islam which has provided universal principles to make the society a peaceful living planet. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Nafis highlighted that international politics and environ, terrorism and foreign inflicted violence in Muslim world especially Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Libya and Turkey has badly damaged the cultural values of Pakistani citizens, especially the youth who have become reactionary, irritant and annoyed. This has created a wave of unrest in our youth and they easily resort to armed conflict on minor issues and deviation from learning and education. This Committee will arrest this growing trend of irritative behavior and guide the youth towards positive leanings and cultivate desired social values in this lot. Expressing his views the Principal said that population explosion has increased the number of students in class rooms; therefore, teaching subject matter in given time has taken first priority and proper counseling and guidance has been pushed behind. He said creating leadership qualities on sound moral base among students be the first lesson for students. He said great leaders had great moral characters and hence they ruled the world. He expressed the hope that Character Building Society in GPGC Lakki Marwat would inculcate best moral values in the students who have been enrolled recently in order to make them role model for incoming lot. The college will spend its resources to refine the habits of the students and would set bench mark for their disciplined behavior in college and outside its premises.
