Charlotte Canady I thought she said in order to be used we - TopicsExpress

Charlotte Canady I thought she said in order to be used we must sometimes be humiliated. Wasnt Moses humiliated by Pharaoh in preparation for Gods purpose? And how many other biblical figures endured various trials and challenges, including humiliation to mete out the Masters plan? I do not think Ms. Hill is confused at all. She did not equate humiliation with love, she simply notes that when we claim we want God to use us for some great purpose we should ready ourselves for the price of that journey which may cost us significantly - according to the standards of the world. You may lose your good name and reputation, respect, talent, fortune, family and friends. Anyone know about Job? And yet, did God not love him? His humiliation was temporary and was the focus of people but the edification and glory God received through Jobs faith, that was what the enemy did not count on! Are we not to suffer for His names sake? If youre not willing to be humiliated, ridiculed or scorned for Christ, whats the point in being a Christian? I think Lauryn is dead on. You maybe not believe in what she does, but do you she what that point she is trying to make?
