Cheating is the legitimate right of lazy/reckless individuals. Moroccan school, unfortunately, is sowing the seeds of corruption in our society and producing the new generation of corrupted individuals. By cheating on exams, students try to take a short cut to success. This short cut does not necessarily lead to the safe shore; it might lead to a dead end, if one is unaware of the responsibilities and the repercussions of one’s choices. Passing an exam does not mean success; it is only an evaluation, a passage that we undertake to move to the next phase. Clearly, this culture of cheating is the pillar of all sorts of corruptions and inequity. Our schools and educational system needs an urgent surgery to remove this tumor “cheating” before it progressively multiplies and reaches the uncontrollable stage; then society will be in real danger.
